Supplement your diet with iron!

Having an iron deficiency can lead to anaemia or a low level of red blood cells in the body. By taking iron, this in turn increases red blood cell production and increases the flow of oxygen to parts of the body. Lack of this vitamin can lead to serious complications and symptoms include such things as a weak rapid pulse, tiredness and dizziness.

Eating plenty of raw vegitables and fruits or through the use of vitamin supplements can treat iron deficiency. Meat and cereals are also good sources. Keep track of your diet and get checked by your doctor if you think there may be a problem.

There are lots of different iron supplements available in every pharmacy. By consulting with your doctor, they will be able to prescribe the right supplement for you. A healthy, well balanced diet can also do wonders so be sure to watch what you eat as well.
