|
February 21, 2003 By: David Tees Using protein to build muscle
Protein is the building block to building muscle. Without protein it's impossible to grow muscle, so if you are bodybuilding or want to add muscle mass, this supplement could be the most important. Taking this supplement may also benefit your immune system! Deciding what kind of protein supplement to take can be difficult. It comes in a variety of forms, the most common being powder to be mixed in shakes or bars that can be eaten. If you are regularly exercising to build muscle mass, powder may be your best bet. If you are out on a hike and want a quick boost of energy, you may want to try bars instead. One of the great things about protein is there are no potential side effects, no matter how much you reasonably use. Of course you can get this vitamin naturally from the foods you eat, but you would have to eat chicken breasts all day to get the same benefit of one shake. If building muscle mass or losing fat and weight is your goal, be sure to check out the benefits of this great supplement. Author Notes:
