Lavender lovers usually prefer to grow their own perennial shrub. This plant grows from the seed and prefers well drained soil in a dry and sunny spot. This herb is easy to cultivate and once the flowers are ready to be picked, the petals are placed in a brown paper bag and then dried. After these delicate petals are thoroughly dried, you may infuse them in a cup of hot water, let them steep for 5 minutes, then sit back, relax and enjoy the aroma and tantalizing taste that herbal lavender tea offers.
